A MUM has been brutally shamed after sharing the scrumptious homemade doughnut breakfast she’d whipped up for her kids.
Single mum-of-three Alexandra Sabol took to TikTok to proudly share how she’d prepared fresh doughnuts for her children – however, the now-viral video ended up getting viciously trolled.
The video’s racked up over 9million views in less than 24 hours[/caption]
Although many foodies now swear by using an air fryer for this delicious treat – with one recipe calling for just two ingredients – Alexandra decided to stick to the more traditional method and opted for oil.
In the clip, which has been viewed more than 9million times in less than 24 hours, the mum could be seen pouring the oil for a few seconds, before letting it reach the perfect temperature.
As the oil was heating up in the massive pot, the food enthusiast, believed to be from the USA, prepared her doughnuts by cutting up store-bought dough and shaping it accordingly.
As the dough was cooking in the huge pot of oil, Alexandra then got ready for the final step – combining sugar and a bit of cinnamon in a bowl.
Once ready, the mum-of-three, who posts under the username @alexbabii97, chucked the freshly made doughnuts into the sweet mixture and served them with fried bacon.
But whilst Alexandra and her kids may have loved the brekkie, the video soon attracted dozens of cruel mum-shamers who flocked to troll her.
One, for instance, reckoned she’s gone overboard with the oil.
”I’m European, I’m sometimes angry I accidentally put too much splash oil. This is what I use in months.”
Another was also just as stunned, writing: ”In Finland we could never.
”Always porridge and sandwich + milk. It was rare to get even cereal.
”It’s so weird to watch how differently people eat in other countries and I’m shocked.”
Someone else urged the mum to find healthier options, begging: ”Ew doughnuts for breakfast, bro, feed your kids some healthy food.”
However, not everyone was as mean, as there was also heaps of support from kind-hearted social media users hitting back at the harsh trolls.
‘One pointed out to the star”
”I love your intention with your kids! If you try the doughnuts in an air fryer it’s faster + eliminates all the added oils (most cooking oils can cause high inflammation) you’re doing great!” one fan wrote.
Another penned: ”The way she [Alexandra’s daughter] said mommy’s the best, you’re a good mama. No one else’s opinion matters.”
Someone else chimed in: ”Just a tip to get less oil in your donuts, after cooking them u can put your donut in a cooking paper and after that put your sugar. Anyway, you’re doing great momma.”
”Is anything fresh?”
Unfortunately for the mum, this is not the first time she’s taken the social media platform by storm.
Earlier this year, Alexandra made headlines after sharing the massive grocery haul, which consisted only of canned and instant goodies.
The huge food shop, she showed off in the video, mainly included ready-made meals, as well as tinned goodies and piles of instant mash.
As well as purchasing several cans of spaghetti hoops and canned soup, the parent had also bagged cheesy pasta, mac and cheese, as well as some packets of ramen, just to name a few.
In terms of veggies, Alexandra had bought two bags of potatoes, canned black beans, tinned sliced carrots, tinned green beans, canned mixed vegetables and diced tomatoes in a can.
The grocery haul also consisted of a waffle mix, canned meatballs in a tomato sauce, instant Spanish rice, Italian dressing, Olive Garden ranch sauce, more mac and cheese, dill pickle crisps and pretzel pieces.
All the cans are killing me
Social media user
The video garnered a lot of criticism, with social media users mainly being concerned about lack of fresh produce.
For the most part, viewers were concerned with the lack of ”fresh” produce, including vegetables and fruit.
One person wondered: ”Is anything fresh?”
Someone else agreed:”Why don’t you just make a huge batch of homemade spaghetti… all the cans are killing me.”
”Man the spaghettio cans could make a fun drinking game!” another reckoned.
