SOMETIMES you want a tasty meal without the hassle of spending ageing chopping, grating and mixing different ingredients, but you want something a bit more satisfying than a ready meal.
That’s why this savvy mum has shared how she easily upgrades a packet of instant noodles to get the best of both worlds.
The packet noodles turned out to be so delicious[/caption]
To begin with, take the noodles of your choice and boil them in water, but leave out the packet of seasoning, Krista Torres said.
“For the next step heat up just a little bit of olive oil and minced garlic, and now we’re going to add in some sweet chili sauce,” she explained.
That should cook on a medium heat as your noodle continue to boil.
Once that’s heated through, Krista adds in a dash of soy sauce and as much siracha or hot sauce as you like to get your desired level of spice.
By this point, the ingredients should start to thicken up and have a sticky consistency.
Finally, Krista sprinkled in the packet of seasoning and mixed it together before adding in the cooked noodles and a small amount of the boiling water to help loosen everything up.
Mix the noodles into the sauce and serve however you like it – the foodie enjoyed hers with some chopped spring onions and a hard boiled egg.
“You have to try this! I will never stop raving about this,” she captioned the clip on Instagram.
Fellow food fans loved the idea and some even tried it out straight away.
One said: “I just made this for dinner, it is delicious! Thank you.”
Meanwhile, others shared how they upgrade their own instant noodles.
“Looks good, I use crispy chili oil in mine,” one wrote.
Another said: “I do this with beef ramen, didn’t know it was a thing!”
“That looks delicious, I have pork roast I can add to this,” someone else commented.
