At least one person is dead after at least 200 vehicles crashed on a bridge in heavy fog.
Footage from Zhengzhou shows drivers watching helplessly as more and more cars and lorries smash into the back of the pile-up.
Loud bangs can also be heard fading into the distance with an increasing number of vehicles falling victim to the conditions.
It’s not known how many people were injured in the collision in the Henan Province and dozens of people had to await rescue after getting trapped.
At the time visibility was as low as 200 metres, the nation’s meteorological society said.
