One person has been killed and another ‘seriously wounded’ in a bloodbath captured on camera in France.
Footage circulating on social media shows a knifeman attacking a civilian on the street just before 8pm today.
He can be seen stabbing them multiple times as the victim falls to the ground on one of the ‘busiest streets’ in the city of Bordeaux.

Witnesses said they saw the attacker stab pedestrians with a bladed weapon after ‘telling them off for drinking’.
Police shot the suspect down as he tried to flee the scene, an investigating source said. Authorities later confirmed that the assailant was dead.
Another video shared on X shows an officer shooting the man on a street nearby.
A civilian cycling past can be seen running away from the scene as officers take him down.

Police do not initially think the attack was terrorism-related. BFM TV reported it was the result of a fight, citing police sources.
There was no early indication as to the motive of the stabbings, but it came on a night of high tension across France, following warnings of an attack on a football stadium by ISIS.
Former mayor of Bordeaux Nicolas Florian said on X: ‘Deeply shocked by this knife attack on one of the busiest places in Bordeaux.
‘I send all my support to the victims and witnesses of this tragedy.
‘I salute the intervention of our police officers who shot the maniac down.’
City mayor Pierre Humic added on the platform that he, the public prosecutor Frédérique Porterie and the regional prefect Etienne Guyot attended the scene.
A judicial investigation into the incident is ‘ongoing’, he said.
BFM TV reported Thomas Cazenave, Minister for Public Accounts and metropolitan councillor for Bordeaux as saying: ‘The quays of Bordeaux, the beating heart of our city, are this evening struck by death.’
