SHORT of time and money? Then these two easy three-ingredient desserts are just the ticket.
They are just two of the recipes from new book Cook Like A Real Italian by Angelo Coassin (£24, Hardie Grant), which is bursting with budget-friendly dishes – and even a delicious two-ingredient pasta meal!
TikTok star Angelo Coassin – AKA Cooking With Bello – hails from the north-east of Italy and his family has owned a bakery for more than 150 years.
He likes to keep things spicy in the kitchen, so you’ll find lots of “Sexy Tips” to oomph up recipes throughout the book.
My fave is to try using this three-ingredient lemon mousse to decorate cupcakes.
You can also make your own gelato flavour by replacing the dark chocolate in his three-ingredient gelato with some strawberry purée, pistachio cream or lemon juice.
Three-Ingredient Gelato
Serves: 6-8
Prep time: 5 minutes
Freezing time: 2+ hours

Ingredients:
*250g dark chocolate, finely chopped
*500ml double cream, very cold from the refrigerator
*350g condensed milk
Method:
1. Place the dark chocolate in a heatproof bowl and melt in the microwave for three bursts of 30 seconds each, giving it a stir each time to prevent the chocolate from burning. Set aside to cool.
2. Meanwhile, take your double cream out of the refrigerator and pour it into a mixing bowl. Whip with a hand mixer until soft peaks form and it becomes nice and fluffy.
3. Fold the condensed milk and cooled melted chocolate into the cream, and gently mix everything together until smooth. Transfer the chocolate cream to a freezer-proof container and freeze for 2 hours. Then it’s ready for you to enjoy.
Three-Ingredient Lemon Mousse
Serves: 4
Prep time: 5 minutes

Ingredients:
*80g icing sugar
*Zest and juice 2 lemons
*300ml double cream, cold
Method:
1. In a mixing bowl, combine the icing sugar and lemon juice, and mix with a hand mixer for 1 minute. Add the double cream (make sure it’s very cold) and whip everything together for about 90 seconds, or until you have a nice fluffy texture (make sure you don’t overwhip it).
2. Divide your lemon mousse between four small glasses and top with some lemon zest to decorate.
