SHOPPERS are going wild for a rosé fizz from Aldi that’s perfect for summer.
So if you’re a fan of rosé wine, and want a beverage that’s great for the warm weather, then you’ve come to the right place.
Bargain hunters are sprinting to their local Aldi, eager to get their hands on a cheap rosé wine that’s perfect for summer[/caption]
The elegant fizz is just £8.49 and is great for ‘champagne hen dos on a Prosecco budget’[/caption]
Wine influencer, Lucy Hitchcock, founder of Partner In Wine, took to social media to share her honest review of the Aldi buy, leaving many open-mouthed.
As she showed off the Specially Selected Cremant De Bordeaux Brut Rosé, the wine lover shared her clip with the caption ‘Perfect for champagne hen dos on a Prosecco budget, brunch with the girls, baby showers, and posh park picnics.’
She claimed that the £8.49 pink champagne ‘dupe’ is the “perfect budget sparkler” for summer, as she urged shoppers to run, not walk, to Aldi.
The content creator then said: “If you’re looking for an alternative to your favourite rosé champagne, because not everyone can splash out on Moet all the time, then you’re gonna want to know about this, and it’s only £8.49.
“Most people associate Bordeaux with red wine, but here, we have a delicious dry sparkler made in exactly the same way as champagne, which gives it that touch of creamy richness and those brioche notes that we all love.”
Lucy then took a sip of the sparkling rosé, which she deemed “unreal”.
Boasting aromas of black cherry and cassis with flavours of blackcurrant with a herby finish, not only did Lucy taste strawberry and raspberries, but she also recognised “hints of peach” and “something herbal” too.
Stunned at the £8.49 price tag of the elegant fizz, Lucy claimed that the sparkling beverage would be perfect for a summer picnic or a hen do, as she added: “Not only would this be perfect on its own, but it’s also giving me brunch vibes, hen do vibes.
“That’s absolutely stunning, and I will be finishing the rest of this bottle. This is officially Partner In Wine approved – cheers!”
The Instagram video, which was posted under the username @partnerinwineuk, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed almost 2,000 likes.
Social media users were left stunned at the bargain buy and were eager to express this in the comments.
One person said: “Runs to Aldi.”
Another added: “Off to Aldi I go!”
A third commented: “Off to join the queue at Aldi then!”
When's the best time to shop at Aldi?
WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.
For reduced items – when shops open
Red sticker items are rare at Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says that none of its food goes to waste so there are some to be found – if you’re quick.
A spokesman for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommend sales price before stores open on their best before or use by dates.”
That means you have the best chance of finding reduced food items if you go into stores as soon as it opens.
Opening times vary by shop but a majority open from 7am or 8am. You can find your nearest store’s times by using the supermarket’s online shop finder tool.
For Specialbuys – Thursdays and Sundays
Specialbuys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that it doesn’t normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.
New stock comes into stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally, these are the best days to visit for the best one-off special deals.
For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head there for your local store’s opening time.
You don’t have to head into stores to bag a Specialbuy, though.
They also go on sale online, usually at midnight on Thursday and Sunday, and you can pre-order them up to a week in advance.
As long as you spend at least £25, you’ll get the items delivered for free.
Remember: once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if there’s something you really want, visit as early as possible
At the same time, many Instagram users tagged their friends and loved ones to alert them to the bargain rosé.
One rosé lover alerted an Aldi shopper and beamed: “We need to try this!”
