A MUM-OF-THREE has left people racing to ”call the police” after sharing her unusual snack for the cinema.
Some popcorn, sweets or perhaps a portion of cheesy nachos – some of our favourites when it comes to cinema snacks.
The foodie stirred up a heated debate on TikTok – so would YOU eat her cinema snack?[/caption]
To make her egg salad, she used six hard boiled eggs, as well as some mayo[/caption]
However, one woman, Joanna Misu, recently took TikTok by storm after revealing what she’d whipped up for the family to go to watch a movie.
Whilst many of would grab a packet of crisps or perhaps some veggie sticks and fruit as a healthier alternative, the mum-of-three showed how she prepared a hearty dish of egg salad.
In the now-viral video, which has been viewed close to a whopping 2million times, the foodie could be seen mashing six hard boiled eggs with a fork.
Once the eggs were ready, she then squeezed a generous amount of mayonnaise into the bowl, gave it a good mix – and the salad was ready.
To complete the cinema snack, Joanna, believed to be from the USA, made it into egg salad sandwiches using wholemeal bread.
”Look how beautiful! Let’s wrap them up!” the mum was all chuffed with the eggy dish.
”Perfect snack for a movie night! I’m gonna put these in the fridge for when we go to the movie theatre.”
Do you also bring tuna fish just incase your first option didn’t clear out enough people?

But although Joanna, who posts under the username @joannamiss2, might’ve thought of this as the ”perfect, cosy snack”, it’s safe to say that not everyone would be racing to prepare egg salad sandwiches for a movie marathon.
Thousands of horrified social media users flocked to comments in total disbelief, with one writing: ”If I smell egg salad in the movies I’m vomiting on someone.”
Another chuckled: ” ‘No Lucy, you can’t have popcorn, we have EGG SALAD!!! I’m sorry WHAT!?”
Someone else was totally baffled, writing: ”I know popcorn at the cinema is expensive but you could have made a snack that doesn’t smell or purchased some chips from the store.
”If you managed to sneak an egg salad you could for sure sneak chips.”
A fourth wondered: ”Do you also bring tuna fish just incase your first option didn’t clear out enough people?’
Since being uploaded, the clip has indeed gone viral for all the wrong reasons – and one fellow TikTok user, @jessminda_, even re-shared the video on her page.
The mortified social media user said that if she ever had anyone sit next to her at the cinema enjoying an egg salad, she’d be calling ”the police” no doubt.
Response to the haters
After being brutally trolled for her movie night snack – which was also described as ”a hate crime” by thousands – the mum-of-three also hit back at the harsh comments.
To those who insisted they’d be throwing up, Joanna reckoned their reaction was ”too dramatic”.
”It’s much cheaper to bring your own food!” added the mum, who makes the salad on a regular basis.
Luckily for Joanna, there were also plenty of other egg salad super fans, who raced to show support.
”Everybody hating so much on egg salad, I lived off egg salad as a child,” wrote one.
Someone else was also loving the dish, writing: ”Not going to lie, ever since your videos have been popping up, I’ve been making egg salad and Deviled eggs like crazy lately.”
But whilst the mum might’ve loved the dish, others reckoned it was ‘a hate crime’ to eat egg salad at the cinema[/caption]
