IT was the viral drink that was being sold for upwards of £10 a bottle by savvy shop owners.
But now people are racing to Tesco to nab bottles of Prime for just 31p each.

The deal is currently only running in Tesco[/caption]
The deal was shared on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group on Facebook, with Jo writing: “Tesco has Prime reduced to 31p with best before date June!
“I got a few for Easter weekend!”
She also shared a picture of a basket in the store that was packed high with Prime – the Strawberry and Watermelon flavour in the pink bottle, and the Blue Raspberry in the blue bottle.
And the comments section on the post was immediately filled with people weighing in on the bargain.
“Bargain considering when they were the must have drink of the century!” one wrote.
“Bet everyone feels robbed spending £10-20 a bottle or even more,” another added.
“13 quid a bottle still in a shop in Bridlington!” a third commented.
“It’s daylight robbery they’re only ripping kids off aren’t they?” someone else said.
“I think 2 quids a bit steep for what it is your only paying for the name, aren’t you?”
“All the new flavours are out now, I don’t pay no more than £2,” another wrote, calling it a “phase with kids”.
“Mad to think a few months back people were paying £20 a bottle,” someone else commented.
“Wonder what the woman who spent £12,000 on a case of it feels like seeing this lol,” another laughed.
As someone else said: “From ‘£100 a bottle at Wakey Wines’……….to ‘can’t give the stuff away’!”
But others insisted the reduced price of the drink was still “31p too much”.
“Everyone is sick of them!! The price reflects this!!” one wrote.
“They would have to pay me to take it away .. nasty stuff,” another added.
“Nope nasty stuff, couple ingredients come in on hazardous goods vehicles,” a third said.
“What idiots would buy this stuff?” someone else said.
“Gimmick comes to mind!” another wrote.
“See the Prime bubble has burst,” someone else said.
“Finally at the price it should be, I’ll still walk past it,” another added.
“How the mighty has fallen!” someone else laughed.
