HAVE you got a garden party coming up? Then this brand new tipple from Aldi is a must.
Aldi have long been known for their delicious beverages and signature Ballycastle range which is thought to be a dupe for the cult favourite Baileys.
The brand new flavour is basically like a sunny beach holiday in a bottle[/caption]
Aldi fans can get their hands on the tipple for a little over £7[/caption]
Earlier last year, in December, the popular discount supermarket launched a posh festive tipple that’s a must for all the chocolate lovers out there.
With Easter just around the corner, Aldi have also delighted its fans with an Irish cream that tastes just like a Cadbury Creme Egg -and now, there’s a brand new flavour joining the ever-growing collection.
That’s right, according to the retailer, who recently shared their Specialbuys for this week, shoppers can now get their hands on a Piña Colada-inspired bevvy.
Aldi’s Ballycastle Colada, which sells for an affordable £7.49, is essentially a beach holiday in a bottle – and it’s the perfect way to welcome the warmer Spring and Summer season that’s fast approaching.
Offering a tropical combination of sweet pineapple and creamy coconut, this limited-edition treat is an indulgent take on the popular cocktail classic, the Piña Colada.
The tipple, which comes in a chic golden bottle with a flower print, is available in stores now, while stocks last – so if you want to give it a go, best be quick to avoid any disappointment.
You can sip it on its own – or make a refreshing and tropical cocktail with it, and this Baileys recipe can easily be replaced with the Aldi’s version.
For this, you will need:
- 50ml Balleycastle Colada
- Ice Cubes
- Pineapple Chunks (can be frozen)
- Slices of pineapple to garnish
- Fruit juice and crushed/ chopped coconut
- Crushed/ chopped coconut
Simply add the tipple, ice cubes and pineapple chunks to a blender and blend it up until it’s smooth.
If you like your drinks extra creamy, you could even add some coconut milk at this stage – or some lime for a little zing.
Once the cocktail is ready, it’s time to serve it in a glass. Dip the rim of the glass into a small amount of fruit juice and sprinkle the crushed coconut onto the juice.
Garnish with fresh slices of pineapple – and enjoy!
If you’re heading to Aldi this weekend, don’t forget to check out their new bargains and offers.
Fans of the retailer have been raving about a number of goodies to hit the store, including the return of a ten-wick candle that ”smells amazing”.
Meanwhile, in the food section, hungry customers have also spotted a chicken dinner kit which is exactly ”like KFC”.
Hitting the shelves earlier this year, foodies can enjoy Munch! Southern Style Chicken & Chips and Munch! Salt & Chilli Pepper Chicken and Chips boxes priced at £3.99.
The Munch! Southern Style Chicken and Chips Box is a whopping £6.50 cheaper than KFC’s Boneless Banquet.
However, best be quick, as the bevvy is only available while the stock lasts[/caption]
The kit comes with chicken tenders, chicken poppers, crispy fries and of course, the fan favourite southern fried style gravy.
Ideal for fuss-free dinners that take just minutes is also Aldi’s Munch! Salt & Chilli Pepper Chicken & Chips, which includes golden fries, light and crispy coated chicken pieces, diced peppers and onions.
The £3.99 kit also includes the main star of the show – the salt & chilli pepper seasoning.
If you’re a foodie, you will also be happy to learn that the store is now offering another dish to go alongside the other kits – Inspired Cuisine Mac and Cheese.
The range, Aldi shared on their website, includes three decadent flavours of the beloved dish: Classic, Truffle and BBQ Pulled Pork.
Shoppers can pick up the cheesy goodness for just £1.79 (300g).
