THEY’VE tried their luck in the past with curry flavour and barbecue baked beans.
But Heinz are hoping their latest venture will prove successful, after teaming up with Cathedral City on Cheesy Beanz.
The New Food Spotter UK group shared the first look at the beans on their TikTok page, writing: “OMG finally out in Tesco!”
They showed the £1.80 tins on the Tesco shelves, before nabbing one to take home.
They then ran home and put the beans on the hob to cook.
Stirring them around, they said: “Can’t wait to try. Smells so good!”
Then the review was in, as they added: “Absolutely love these.
“Surprised how cheesy they are.
“Rich, strong cheese flavour.”
They added in the caption: “Heinz X Cathedral City = The BEST Collab.
“These are AMAZING!! Very strong cheese flavour!!”
People were quick to comment on the video, with one writing:
“Er grate some cheese over beans = cheesy beans”.
“We tried both to compare and much prefer the Heinz!” the reviewer replied.
“You’d have to add a lot of cheese to get this strong cheese flavour!”
“Just extra processed tbh,” another said.
“I just make my own and have most of a block of cheese left as well.”
As they responded again: “We tried both to compare and 10x prefer the Heinz cheesy beans!”
“We’re so happy to see this marriage of flavours blossoming,” Tesco wrote.
“We LOVE LOVE LOVE!! Fantastic Collab,” the New Food Spotters replied.
“I like cathedral cheese but not mixed into beans,” someone else insisted.
“I don’t know if I want to give up the cheese to beans ratio,” another wrote.
“Yet I’ll probably still add more cheese,” someone else commented.
“We thought this but I don’t think we could handle any more cheese, it’s VERY cheeeesy,” they responded.
“Nothing will top this in 2024!” another raved.
And others insisted they won’t be rushing to try the beans.
“Disgusting, companies are running out of ideas!” one sighed.
“Who wants tinned cheese?” another wrote.
“That’s nasty! Def not gonna have the melted cheese effect!”
“Absolutely NOT,” a third raged.
“That’s reckless behaviour,” someone else said.
“These are nasty,” another insisted.
