A GYPSY woman has shared how she makes the ultimate ‘traveller’ dinner – leaving many open-mouthed.
Tracey King explained that her dish is pretty simple to make, as all you need to do is chuck it all in.
Posting on social media, the traveller demonstrated her step-by-step recipe for a delicious bacon pudding.
She explained: “Tell you what, the messages I get with people wanting me to make a bacon pudding – yous are obsessed with bacon puddings. What is up with you?
“So I’m gonna do a bacon pudding.
“I’ve rolled out the pastry, half suet to double the amount of pastry water.”
Once the pastry was rolled out, Tracey then covered it with bacon and onions.
She advised: “It can’t be easier. No one’s gonna see it, you can just chuck it all on.
“And then we’re gonna smother it with onions on. Black pepper is the key.
“Some might add oxo, some add tomatoes. Everyone has different ways and different tastes.
“This is the old fashioned way – it is just bacon and onion because of the flavour from the bacon.
“Oh, honestly, if you haven’t tried one, please, I beg of you, go and try one because these are out of this world.”
Tracey then rolled her pudding, as she continued: “And then we’re gonna fold it and roll it. So we’re gonna pull both edges in and then we’re gonna roll it to a sausage roll.
“Then we’re gonna put it in cloth. That’s how we were brought up, to put it in cloth.
“So I use pillowcases. I will wash them with plain water, nothing else.
“And then I’m gonna cook that for about two and a half hours and do that with a nice roast dinner.
“You don’t need no salt in it, there’s enough salt in the bacon.”
In a follow-up clip, Tracey showed off her cooked bacon pudding, as she beamed: “Just unwrap that. I always throw it, I never use the same cloth twice.
“To be honest, I did make this one a bit thick today, so it’s not slicing great, but it’s not gonna take anything away from the taste.
“So that is a bacon pudding. We will have that with a roast dinner and all the trimmings.”
“Oh, honestly, if you haven’t tried one, please, I beg of you, go and try one because these are out of this world.
