A WOMAN has claimed we’ve been using Oxo cubes all wrong, and you don’t need to fiddle around with the tiny wrapper.

On her @thenuttyfamily1 account, the mum shared: “Who knew this?!!
“You don’t peel it off and crumble the square in.
“You end up with big blobby bits in your meat.
“This is what you do, you squash it all down inside this, so you crush it inside the packet, so it’s all crumbly inside, it’s already crushed.
“Then you tear off your corner and you just sprinkle it in, like so, instead of fighting with the cube.”
The mum demonstrated pouring the contents out of the wrapper onto her minced meat.
She added: “Be honest, who knew this?”
Her clip has clearly impressed some home cooks, as it has racked up over 1,000 likes.
Many people said their minds were blown and they wanted to try it for themselves.
One wrote: “ I actually didn’t know this so thank you for sharing.”
Another added: “Omg another amazing life hack. This tip will save me so much time!”
However, some TikTok users said they had been doing it for years.
One said: “I thought this is what everyone done until one of my friends was shocked when I done it.”
Meanwhile, one person commented: “everyone that’s been alive in the last few decades [knew this].”
Some chefs claim to prefer the messy way and pointed out that the late Lynda Bellingham, who was the face of OXO for years, had always used her fingers in the ads.
Social media users couldn’t agree on whether it was Lynda’s fault that most people were sprinkling “the wrong way” or if the actress’ style was right.
We’re certainly going to give this pouch theory a go.
