A SAVVY shopper has been slammed for her “pure greed” after clearing the shelves of 29p Christmas puddings in Aldi.
Tracey regularly shares videos, often detailing her gypsy lifestyle, on her TikTok page, and couldn’t resist documenting her bargain find in the supermarket.
Tracey was stunned when she spotted Christmas puddings reduced to 29p in Aldi[/caption]
Firstly, Tracey caught sight of the family-sized Christmas puddings that had been reduced to 29p, as she said: “Oh my God girls, you ain’t gonna believe this.
“Look in Aldi. Christmas puddings, the family ones, are 29p.
“February 2025 is the date.
“And the single ones, well for two people, are 19p!”
Her husband Mark then spotted the luxury Christmas puddings, which were also 29p.
“Quick grab ’em, they’ll be gone,” Tracey exclaimed, as she piled box after box into her basket.
“We’re getting them all, ain’t we.
“I’m sorry girls and boys. You know I’m not a greedy person but I can’t say no to them.
“29p? Come on!”
She then had a look at the other Christmas items in the store – including 99p packs of Turkish delight and 29p mince pies.
“I can’t get over them Christmas puddings. That was a bit of luck!” Tracey said, adding: “I like to share them with everyone but I’m being greedy today!
“There’s enough for the next three or five years there, but they’ll be gone in no time.”
She then shared another video after she’d unpacked the shopping at home, as she said: “Oh my God, leave off. £4.92.
“Good old Aldi now and again, innit?”
But the comments section was almost immediately filled with people questioning why she’d bought so many of the puddings.
“What would u want all them for though?” one wrote.
“To eat!” Tracey hit back.
“Pure greed,” another raged.
“No £4.30 well spent,” Tracey replied.
“That’s disgusting,” a third agreed.
As someone else said sarcastically: “It’s good the way you stop other people whoare struggling from getting a good bargain.
“Sure that will make them taste better for you!”
“Will you eat all of them or give away?” another asked.
“Eat them!” Tracey said again.
And when someone else asked why she’d got so many, Tracey insisted: “At 29p I’d have brought 50!”
“That’s so selfish, like you need all them,” another argued.
However, others defended Tracey for her bargain hunting.
“If you can freeze them they will do for next Xmas hun,” one wrote.
“Complainers inbound for sure lol,” another added.
“Enjoy I’d of grabbed them too, gotta love a bargain.”
“Ideal for Easter as well,” a third commented.
“Also if you have any left after next Christmas you can then deep freeze them.
“Whole point of a bargain is to bulk by- in the summer you can make Christmas pud ice cream!”
And someone else said: “Why are people always slating Tracey for securing bargains!?
“The more she can get, the better! It’s not greed at all.
“29p for a pudding, is a steal!!”
