SUPERMARKET Sainsbury’s has sent shoppers into a frenzy after slashing the price of luxury beef joint to £5.
The bargain deal comes just in time for NYE celebrations, as households across the nation are preparing the final feast of 2023 before the arrival of 2024.

According to cash-savvy shoppers, the supermarket has come to rescue with some serious savings, cutting the price of their Taste the Difference British Beef Topside Joint from an eye-watering £20 to £5.
Although, as some pointed out, the price tag remains the original one, customers shouldn’t have to worry, as it’s said to scan for a fiver by the tills.
However, if you’re keen to treat your family to a posh dinner on the cheap, then we advise you to best not waste any time and dash to the nearest Sainsbury’s.
Those who’ve already got their hands on the bargain deal warned other shoppers that there aren’t many packages left in their stores.
One customer, Joanna MoJo-Jower Hearn, urged bargain lovers to be quick and not sleep on the cut-price deal.
”£5 at the moment in Sainsbury’s down from £20. There was about 10 left in the Loughborough store,” she wrote on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK group.
According to Joanna, these beef joints were ”all dated 7th January”, she noted in her post.
Another customer, Kim Sherriff, meanwhile, had also spotted the bargain at the branch based in Bradford Greengages.
Needless to say, the deal has gone down a treat on Facebook, where hundreds of social media users were tagging their friends and family to inform them about the wonderful news.
One told their pal: ”Keep your eye out.”
Someone else chimed in: ”So next year gonna make sure my chest freezer is empty between second week in December and two weeks in January.. gonna fill it with these meat bargains.”
Another warned those in their neighbourhood, writing: ”None in Worksop.”
”Someone’s going to be in trouble for pricing them up wrong,” a Sainsbury’s shopper chuckled.
”Jeez that’s cheap,” a Facebook user couldn’t believe their eyes.
Whilst getting ready for the monster feast this weekend, don’t forget to use your Nectar Card – this will give you a third off on selected party food.
This will make the Sainsbury’s Fish Pie Puffs £4 instead of £6 and the Mini Lamb Shawarma Flatbread will go from £6 to £4.
Don’t feel like cooking? The store also offers an eat-on-the-day collection service, where customers can pick up sandwiches, sushi and cakes made to order.
It’s worth noting that prices may vary and stock may have limited availability closer to January 1st.
