Over the moon with her saving, Chris took to social media to show other shoppers.
Not everyone was impressed with Chris clearing the shelves – but the savvy shopper was eager to reveal the real reason behind her epic haul.
Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private Facebook group with a staggering 2.3 million members, Chris shared pictures of her purchases.
She wrote: “Poundstretcher Stapleford… Bournville 20p per tub, bought the lot for friends who bake and for hot chocolates at church!”
She then confirmed that she also nabbed: “Diet Coke 30 cans for £1.”
Chris proudly shared an image of her huge pile of 23 tubs of cocoa, as well as her stash of fizzy pop.
The Facebook user shared her post just 16 hours ago, but it has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has quickly amassed 232 likes and 73 comments.
Many social media users were stunned at the epic discounts and were eager to express this in the comments.
One user shared: “Great bargain, well done.”
A second chimed in: “Fab finds.”
Whilst another beamed: “Fantastic.”
However, at the same time, not everyone was on board with Chris clearing the shelves.
One person said: “’Hey guys, here’s a bargain I found!..but there’s none left for you to have because I took them all’. Kinda defeats the point of making the post.”
In response, Chris clapped back: “Welcome to check other stores, we don’t all live in the same place.”
Another commented: “What’s the point of posting if you buy the lot?”
Whilst a third user asked: “Did you take every single one?”
To this, Chris replied and confirmed: “Yes, for several of my friends and the majority for a church family movie night, not all for me!
“I like baking, but that’d be enough cocoa for a lifetime! Bought a few yesterday and my friends asked if I could get some for them too.
“My cousin has a home bakery too so I got her some.”
Meanwhile, someone else penned: “Check the dates on them, most of them were October dated.”
To this, Chris explained: “Yes, best before not use by. Absolutely fine for baking.”
