A CHEF has revealed the five easy steps which will help you make your Yorkshire puddings Michelin star-worthy.
Poppy O’Toole, who is also a judge on Young Masterchef, regularly shares recipe tips and tricks on her TikTok page, and is known for her incredible potatoes.

But she also knows how important the perfect Yorkshire pud is for a roast dinner, and explained that the first thing you have to ensure is that you use the right oil or fat.
Poppy explained that she uses a muffin tray for her Yorkies, and pours a little oil into each hole, before moving the tray around to make sure it’s completely covered.
She then puts the tray into the oven and leaves it in there for at least 15 minutes – until the oil gets piping hot.
“You want that batter to almost start frothing when you pour it in, so you get the height you want from your puds,” she said.
While the oil is heating up, she works on the batter – mixing together three beaten eggs with 100g plain flour and gradually adding 225ml whole milk.
She whisks the mixture until smooth, using a hand whisk, before putting it in the fridge for half an hour.
Once the batter is ready, she removes the muffin tray from the oven – at which point the oil can be seen bubbling and spitting.
This is vital to ensure that your Yorkies get the height and crispiness you want.
She then pours the batter into the muffin tray.
And finally, she puts the tray into the oven for 10 to 15 minutes at 220 degrees.
Once removing the tray, she shows off her “gorgeous, fluffy Yorkshire puds” – adding that they are the “perfect accomplishment for any roast dinner”.

- Put the tray into a pre-heated oven for at least 15 minutes to allow the oil to heat up
- Whisk the batter using a hand whisk, not an electric one
- Put the batter into the fridge for half an hour
- Pour the batter into the tray and cook for 10 to 15 minutes for the perfect Yorkie
