A TIKTOKER has caused controversy after admitting she eats the stickers on fruit.
Jenna Cannella frequently shares videos on her TikTok site of herself cooking, and recently shared a clip of herself preparing a Seafood Boil.

In the video, she admitted she doesn’t take the stickers off the lemon and oranges she uses in the boil.
“A reason why we don’t take the stickers off the lemons sometimes is because we like to eat stickers,” she said.
Before adding: “Just joking! Because I was being lazy.
“We don’t eat the lemon in the boil.”

Despite her insisting they don’t actually eat the lemons in the seafood boil, Jenna’s revelation sparked thousands of comments from viewers.
Responding to the backlash, Jenna shared another video as she said: “I cannot be the only man who eats the stickers on the fruit.
“There’s no way! As my mum would say, ‘it adds flavour!’”
“Yes yes you are,” one person commented on her video.

While another added: “girly I hate to tell you this but you are THE only one.”
But someone else wrote: “I’m from New Orleans and we do too!!!!!!”
In fact, consuming the stickers won’t cause any damage as they are controlled by the FDA, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
While they can’t be considered edible, as they are made of paper and non-toxic glue, they wont cause the human body any harm.

However, they have no flavour and no nutritional value.
“The stickers on fruit and veggies are edible in case any one accidentally swallows it doesn’t hurt them,” one person commented on Jenna’s original cooking video.
