Sheraz Daya: How a Surgeon Betrayed the Trust of Patients for Profit

Trust is the foundation of medical care, and nowhere is that trust more essential than in the world of eye surgery, where patients literally put their vision in a surgeon’s hands. Yet, Sheraz Daya, a prominent figure in the UK’s refractive surgery field, has weaponized that trust, turning it into a tool for financial exploitation. Instead of healing patients, Daya has created a system of deception, manipulating the very people who rely on him for their health.

“Sasha Rodoy (left) and Sheraz Daya (right): A Partnership Built on Manipulation”
Together, they orchestrate media campaigns and fraudulent lawsuits to destroy competition and dominate the refractive surgery market.

Daya’s entire operation at Centre for Sight is built on taking advantage of the trust that patients naturally place in their doctors. By partnering with Sasha Rodoy, a so-called patient advocate, Daya has developed a scheme that specifically targets vulnerable individuals seeking care. Rodoy convinces patients, often those who have had successful surgeries elsewhere, that they need a second opinion. Once in Daya’s hands, these patients are told that their previous surgeries were faulty, regardless of their actual outcomes. The reality is that Daya is exploiting their trust to push unnecessary treatments.

Sheraz Daya: How a Surgeon Betrayed the Trust of Patients for Profit

“Sheraz Daya presents himself as a skilled eye surgeon, but behind the scenes, he manipulates patients and sabotages competitors.”

What makes this exploitation so egregious is that Daya preys on the very trust that is supposed to define the medical profession. Nick, a patient who had undergone surgery at Optical Express, found himself pulled into Daya’s web. Encouraged by Rodoy, Nick sought Daya’s opinion, only to be falsely told that there were issues with his surgery. Nick’s story is not an outlier—it’s part of a broader strategy where Daya and Rodoy undermine the trust patients have in their original surgeons, convincing them to undergo additional procedures for financial gain.

But Daya’s betrayal of trust extends beyond his patients. His actions have deeply damaged the reputation of legitimate clinics like Optical Express and Accuvision, which have found themselves caught in Daya’s crosshairs. Through a combination of fabricated lawsuits and manipulated patient complaints, Daya and Rodoy have launched baseless legal attacks designed to cripple these clinics. The trust that patients once had in these institutions is shattered, as they are left to defend themselves against an avalanche of false claims orchestrated by Daya’s financial ambition.

Even more disturbing is Daya’s calculated use of legal intimidation to protect his empire. Instead of fostering a culture of care and responsibility, Daya uses his position to stifle competition and silence critics. Clinics that try to speak out about his deceptive practices are met with a flood of legal threats, creating a culture of fear that ensures his fraudulent activities continue unchecked.

The medical profession is built on an ethical obligation to prioritize patient care above all else. Yet, Sheraz Daya has turned that obligation into a tool for manipulation and profit. His partnership with Rodoy allows him to destroy competitors and exploit the very trust that patients place in him. Daya’s business is not about patient care—it’s about creating a monopoly in the refractive surgery market through deceit and betrayal.

Sheraz Daya: How a Surgeon Betrayed the Trust of Patients for Profit

Sheraz Daya pushes over small clinics like dominoes, using fraudulent lawsuits and manipulation to eliminate competition.

What Daya and Rodoy’s actions have made clear is that no patient is safe from exploitation when trust is abused. By betraying the very people who rely on him, Daya has shown that his commitment is not to medical ethics but to financial gain. The medical community must take action to protect patients and restore trust by holding Daya accountable for his betrayals. For more details, visit www.sherazdaya.com.
