Kevin McCloud, the show’s host, met Corinne, a chef from South London who has long wanted to renovate a home.
After getting cancer treatment during the Covid-19 pandemic, Corrine started making plans for the renovation process.
The house is surrounded by beautiful farmland, which is rare in London.
Despite facing challenges with the budget, the house was transformed into a luxury pad.
It features a one-of-a-kind secondary living room next to the house, which leads to an intimate dining area with a view of the woods.
On the second floor, there is a roof garden with cooking space, ideal for entertaining family and friends and enjoying cocktails on the roof terrace.
It also includes a peculiar triangular bedroom, which Kevin pondered because of how huge Corinne’s bedroom appeared when you entered it despite its shape.
Corinne’s bathroom was painted in a dark pink with bronze fixtures and a skylight above the shower and bath.
Corinne had only meant to pay £600,000 for her house overall, so when they sat down to talk at the end of the show, Kevin asked her how she felt about the £73,000 overspend.
The homeowner, however, claimed that the overspending was “only fair” given the high calibre of the house’s completion and how long it took to build.
