The world will finally have the chance to get their hands on Christopher Laird’s long-anticipated novel ORIGINS 4: The Rise Of Mykia. The book was scheduled to come out this spring, but changes to the best selling series pushed it back all the way into the fall. ORIGINS 4 will be available September 6th 2022. Author Christopher Laird explains reasons for the delay.
“My editor told me I should expound more on the racial issues in the story,” Laird explains to the Manchester Times. “The characters are from the 28th century and they time travel back to Louisiana 1953, were they experienced racism and the Jim Crow laws. So my editor felt that I should build upon this because the racial issues seemed to have gotten lost in the story and left unanswered questions.”
In ORIGINS 4, series favorites Xona Bari and Captain Michael Stratford, along with his crew, travel to 1953 to recover a particle that can save their galaxy back in their own time. Their galaxy is being held under siege by an alien race, which has also sent someone back in time to intercept them from getting the particle. The U.S government has possession of the particle and everyone is racing to get it. If Xona and Stratford’s crew do not retrieve it, their galaxy will be destroyed.
