Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 cheat problem begins with new ‘undetectable’ software

Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6
Call Of Duty: Black Ops 6 – a new match for Ricochet vs. cheaters (Activision)

The launch of Black Ops 6 seems to have gone smoothly so far, but the inevitable has happened as cheats have already gone on sale.

Cheaters are a problem for every online game but given its popularity, Call Of Duty suffers more than most, which is what led to Activision creating the controversial Ricochet anti-cheat software.

Its effectiveness remains a matter of great debate, especially as it was blamed for unfairly banning people during the Black Ops 6 beta. But now players will be hoping that it’s been sufficiently upgraded for the launch of the new game, as companies are already trying to sell cheat software they describe as ‘unbeatable.’

Not only do the cheats do the aiming for you, while playing the game, but the latest cheat software, made specifically for Black Ops 6, claims that it can hide cheaters’ actions from Ricochet and prevent them from being banned.

Whether it really can hide from Ricochet remains to be seen, as the cheat software costs money and so the makers may simply be making bold claims in order to attract customers – who are going to find it difficult to prove the software doesn’t do what it says.

‘We employ state-of-the-art technology to safeguard your account, ensuring that your use of our cheats remains undetected, thereby protecting your gameplay integrity,’ says the official website. Which is an ironic use of the word integrity.

‘We specialise in providing advanced, undetectable cheats that integrate seamlessly with the game’s constantly evolving anti-cheat technologies. Our commitment is to offer you an enhanced gaming experience without the risk of detection, ensuring you can focus on enjoying the game to its fullest.’

The features of the cheat software are organised into three main categories: the self-explanatory aimbots, wallhacks/ESP that let you see through walls, and radar features such as ignoring the Ghost Perk.

Ricochet’s developers have recently said they aim to, ‘catch and remove cheaters within one hour of them being in their first match.’

Black Ops 6 was only released on Friday, October 25 so it’s too early to tell exactly who’s winning in this new cheating war but it’s a serious business for Activision.

Much of the fan discontent over the last few years has been due to cheaters and the perception that Activision has not been doing enough to stop it.

The issue certainly has got better in recent months but a new game means wiping the slate clean, to some degree, and the chance for the cheaters to get the upper hand once again.
