Stomach-churning CCTV footage shows the blast of browny orange waste showering the road, covering walkers and commuters.
Pedestrians and cars were soaked with sewage after a major pipe exploded near a motorway.
A pipe ruptured on a section of road undergoing work mid morning on Tuesday in Nanning, China. The blast was so powerful it flipped a digger near the work site.
The footage shows how the human waste thundered more than 30 feet into the air.
Dashcam footage showed car windscreens were showered with bits of poo as it rained down.
Unsuspecting pedestrians were also splattered from head to toe with human waste as they strolled along the avenue.
One driver reportedly complained: ‘I’m drenched in poo, my car is splattered yellow. It’s ruined.’
The local authorities revealed that no one was injured by the explosion, but several vehicles sustained damage.
The rupture reportedly happened as a pressure test was being conducted during the laying of the sewage pipes.
Officials were dispatched to the scene to carry out a large clean-up operation after the blast.
The local authorities are reportedly investigating its causes to prevent similar incidents in the future.
One local said: ‘You can almost smell this video.’
