AFTER the Easter weekend, you’ve probably had enough sweet treats for the foreseeable.
However, Aldi shoppers have spotted a brand new biscuit on shelves with a twist on a classic flavour and they are already racing to the checkout.

The German supermarket has become a favourite for those with a sweet tooth, with look-a-like sweets based on your favourite brands, orange dessert wines and ice-cream-flavoured Easter eggs.
Fans might have been eager to get their hands on the limited-edition treats before the bank holiday, but there is one item that has seemingly gone unnoticed in the aisles.
Rather than gatekeeping the new biscuits though, one happy customer shared their latest find on Facebook: a Jaffa Cake dupe (yes, you read that right).
Posting in the Latest Deals, Extreme Couponing & Bargains group, they shared a photo of Aldi’s Jaffa Cookies which looked nearly identical to the beloved sweet snack.
Instead of the classic orange jelly at the centre though, the Belmont dupe is more similar to a digestive biscuit packed with delicious chocolate chips and orange zest.
If that wasn’t enough to satisfy your sweet tooth, the tempting treat also has a layer of rich chocolate on top which makes it resemble a Jaffa Cake.
Even the packing is a look-a-like of the classic treat, with royal blue and orange wrapping similar to the original design.
Unsurprisingly, Aldi fans have been eager to pick up the tempting treat whilst it is in stores.
Replying to the post, shoppers excitedly tagged their friends with one even writing: “I feel like we need to try these!”
Meanwhile, some in the group revealed that they’d already tried the new Jaffa Cake dupe and been impressed.
“Tried them a few days ago,” they gushed, adding: “They’re absolutely delicious.”
You’ll have to be quick if you want to get this tempting treat as it has already sold out on the Aldi website – despite customers being limited to 15 packets each.
It is hardly surprising as the Jaffa Cookies were previously being sold for just £1.08 per pack, so it’s best to check your local supermarket to make sure you don’t miss out.
For anyone who can’t get their hands on the Jaffa Cookie, you can find plenty of other zesty treats at the supermarket right now.

Jaffa Cake fans can find similarly treats at Aldi, including snack bars and tea[/caption]
This includes a 24-pack of Belmont Jaffa Cakes for only £1.19 meaning you pay just 4p per biscuit while stocks last.
Alternatively, you could grab some snack bars for the kids’ packed lunches with Jaffa-flavoured ones starting from 99p for five.
If you really want to try something out of the ordinary, you could also pick up Diplomat’s Jaffa Cake biscuit flavour tea bags.
As the name would suggest these tea bags have a zesty flavour with its mix of orange peel, roasted cacao beans and black tea.
Originally 99p for a box of 40 bags, the supermarket has them on sale for 69p along with a range of other unique flavours.
If it’s all the same though, we think we might just stick to the Earl Grey.

When do supermarkets put out yellow-sticker bargains?
The time supermarkets reduce their products vary across stores.
Here’s a rough supermarket-by-supermarket guide:
Aldi
Aldi uses a red sticker to show reductions on fresh products such as bread, meat, fruit and vegetables.
This is when they have reached the last day of shelf life.
Red stickered items are most commonly found at opening and closing times.
M&S
Reduction times can vary from store to store but is most likely to occur near closing time.
Asda
Asda told Which? that yellow stickers are applied twice a day – in the morning and evening.
Co-op
Co-op told The Sun its reduced-to-clear prices are generally applied about four hours before the store closes.
Lidl
Lidl has a similar procedure to Asda and Aldi with reductions twice a day.
However individual stores may opt to reduce prices throughout the day.
Morrisons
Shoppers online have said that Morrisons does the best bargains first thing in the morning.
However the store told Which? that there is no specific times for yellow sticker price cuts.
Sainsbury’s
Sainsbury’s told The Sun it’s at the store manager’s discretion whether to offer discounts.
However shoppers have reported that the best deals are in the evening from 6pm.
Tesco
Tesco has said there is no specific time for reduction, but again most people found that prices were reduced from 6pm.
Waitrose
As with most of the other stores, Waitrose shoppers have said the best reductions are found before closing.
However the store stated that there is no specific time for yellow stickers to be applied.
