THERE’S nothing more frustrating than trying to cook an egg with a perfectly runny yolk, and ending up with one that’s hard inside and out.
But one woman has come up with a failsafe hack to ensure they come out runny and delicious every single time.
The secret is to add enough water to cover the base of the pan[/caption]
Then cover up the pan and leave for around 90 seconds[/caption]
Nutritionist Jamie Fielding explained: “Start out with your pan on medium heat and then add in a little bit of olive oil spray.”
Once the pan is heated up, crack two eggs into it and season.
“And then when your eggs are starting to cook around the edges, you want to add in a little bit of water,” she said.
“You want enough water to have a thin layer on the bottom of your pan.”
The eggs will end up perfect every time[/caption]
Pop a lid on the pan and wait for around 90 seconds.
“No flipping involved here – these are perfect every time,” Jamie concluded.
She was quickly praised by other cooking fans in the comments section of the TikTok video.
“I will do it this way every time now! Thanks for the tip!” one woman wrote.

“Easiest way to make dippy eggs,” another added.
“damn I got to my age and never knew that’s how it’s done. THANKS,” a third wrote.
“This is awesome. I’ll have to try this,” another comment read.
Others insisted the cooking method had been around for years, and the eggs are known as “basted” when they’re cooked like that.
“This is how I do mine. They are always just right,” someone else wrote.
