Carra challenged the West Ham star to appear on TV with him[/caption]
Rice was quizzed by Carra’s Monday Night Football co-host Gary Neville on what he wants to do when he retires.
And while it could be over a decade before the 23-year-old hangs up his boots, he grinned as he fired a warning shot across Carra’s bows.
Rice told Nev on The Overlap: “Carragher’s a goner! I’m coming for him!”
Carra wasn’t going to take that lying down and quickly challenged the England international to show he has what it takes for TV.
He tweeted: “Well get yourself on MNF in March @_DeclanRice – let’s see what you’ve got!!”
And Rice cheekily fired back: “You sure you want that.. you’ll be out of a job.”

The Hammers talisman admitted to Neville working in the media is something he would consider when the time comes.
He added: “I would love to do punditry when I’m older – that’s something I’d 100 per cent love to do.
“I watch you and Carra all the time – Monday night, Friday night, on Sundays as well. It’s a great insight as well.
“When you’re sat there as a player listening to ex-players talk, what I love about it is – what you’ve got to say is spot on.”

Rice is one of English football’s hottest properties and is set to find himself in the middle of a transfer battle next summer.
Manchester United have long been considering the ex-Chelsea wonderkid as the man to solve their midfield crisis.
And the Blues are eyeing a move for their former academy talent as a long-term replacement for N’Golo Kante.
Rice himself has put the Premier League heavyweights on notice by revealing his straightforward career ambition – he wants to ‘win it all’.
