Where is Derby?
Derby is the ceremonial ‘county town’ that gives its name to the county of Derbyshire. It is a mid-sized city, however. It’s located just off the M1, to the West, with Nottingham just on the other side of the motorway to the east. According to Zoopla, Derby average house prices for the past 12 months stood at £234,500. This is a full £33,500 less than the £268,000 UK average house prices recorded by the ONS in October 2021. Looking at semis, terraced houses and flats, Derby becomes an even more attractive prospect.
Buying a flat in Derby will come with an average of around £115,000. Terraced and semi-detached houses are closer to £159,000 and £200,000 respectively.
