Four out of the five top-selling games in the UK last week are Nintendo Switch titles, but the number one is by Microsoft not Nintendo.
There are still no major new physical releases so far this year but the UK charts do have a new number one in the form of the Nintendo Switch version of Minecraft.
The Switch edition has long been the best-selling version at retail but its success this week makes it one of four Nintendo Switch titles in the top five (there’s also a Switch version of FIFA 22 but it’s not recommended and not a big seller).
This week’s Rainbow Six Extraction is the first chance for a new release to make its mark in the charts but as a multiplayer-focused title with little buzz around it, it’s unlikely to have much of an impact.
