The Trembling Madness Apartments in the historic city are apparently haunted so be prepared to hang out with a few ghosts.
The accommodation is around 600 years old and sits behind the House of Trembling Madness, a pub in the city centre.
You’ll get views over the famous York Minster and it’s a great base to explore the rest of the city.
The apartment sleeps four people with one king size four poster bed and one double sofa bed.
Host Ian said: ‘The madness chamber is haunted and is well over 600 years old. Its a time capsule for york containing wood panelling and overlooking the minster. Silent with an small outside yard, the perfect retreat.’
While the style adds to the spooky feel, it is kitted out with all the modern amenities you’d expect, including WiFi, a washing machine, TV and fridge.
The whole place costs from £98 per night, making it under £25 per person.

Someone else said: ‘Fascinating place! You won’t have stayed in anywhere like it! It feels like you are staying in a genuine piece of history and you find yourself tearing in wonder at so much, whether the sloping floors made from Elizabethan ships, the Victorian taxidermy collection, the spooky add one, etc! You even see the cathedral from the flat!
‘As for the ghostly side of it, my girlfriend heard baby noises from the bedroom during the night… me, I slept! Definitely recommend for a unique York experience.’
